ALL PUBLIC MASSES ARE CANCELLED
FROM SATURDAY, MARCH 14, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

In light of the March 13, 2020 communication by San Jose Bishop Cantú in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic,

following is information on our Ascension Parish services effective Saturday, March 14, until further notice.

In addition, right after the Bishop’s communication,

  1. Our County public health officials issued an order to cancel gatherings of 100+ persons.
  2. The CDC strongly recommends the cancellation of gatherings of even 10+ persons who belong to the high-risk category (by age, or by health conditions).

LITURGIES & PRAYERS

    1. All public Masses and Liturgies, and any other services on Saturdays, Sundays, and weekdays:  CANCELLED.
    2. Funerals, Weddings, or Baptisms may be celebrated, but limited to immediate family.
    3. Devotion of Stations of the Cross on Fridays: CANCELLED
    4. Livestream Masses on Sundays at 10am (English), 11am (Spanish), 12pm (Vietnamese) (Check dsj.org/coronavirus/ for details).

PASTORAL CARE

    1. Pastoral Care Visits to the Sick or Homebound: SUSPENDED.
    2. Anointing of the Sick (last Rites) continues as requested.

 

CATECHETICAL/YOUTH MINISTRY

    1. All Catechetical classes and Youth gatherings: CANCELLED.

PARISH OFFICE

-Our Parish Office remains opened as long as conditions permit.
-Our Parish Staff continues to check messages and mails.

ACTIVITIES IN CHURCH, OFFICE, WORNER HALL & OTHER FACILITIES

-All meetings, gatherings, and activities (even previously scheduled or regular) must be reviewed and approved by the Pastor.
